Monsoon Weather Remains Active Across India as Several Regions Face Heavy Rainfall Risk

India is experiencing an active monsoon phase in August, with several parts of the country witnessing widespread rainfall and a number of regions remaining under alerts for heavy to very heavy rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast continued rainfall activity across different parts of the country during the coming days, highlighting the need for residents, commuters and local authorities to remain alert to changing weather conditions.

According to the latest IMD weather bulletin issued on August 10, 2026, widespread rainfall is expected across several northern, central and eastern regions. Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are among the areas expected to receive significant rainfall during the forecast period.
