Madurai–Guruvayur Express to get Vistadome coach from 22 October
A trial Executive AC Vistadome coach will run on selected Madurai–Guruvayur Express services through January 2027.

Southern Railway will attach an Executive AC Vistadome coach to selected Madurai–Guruvayur Express services from 22 October 2026, with return-direction services beginning on 23 October.
The temporary trial covers trains 16327/16328. The large-window coach is intended to give passengers wider views of the Sengottai–Punalur ghat section and Aryankavu Pass in the Western Ghats.
- Madurai to Guruvayur: Thursday–Sunday departures from 22 October 2026 to 15 January 2027.
- Guruvayur to Madurai: Friday–Monday departures from 23 October 2026 to 16 January 2027.
- Fare: Southern Railway reported a basic fare of ₹515; the reported full-route fare is ₹1,875.
- Booking: Advance reservations are open. Passengers should verify the departure date and current fare through an authorised railway booking channel.
