The programme aims to support at least 2.55 lakh holistic Gram Panchayat Development Plans every year through eGramSwaraj. It also targets at least 2.55 lakh online audit plans annually through AuditOnline.
Information about government schemes, beneficiaries, community assets and available resources will be brought together on a common digital platform. Panchayats will use it to identify gaps, coordinate development work and improve public disclosure. Gram Sabhas and other panchayat forums will support citizen participation.
This is not an announcement of direct cash assistance to individuals. The scheme will not create permanent government posts, although need-based contractual technical support may be engaged at State, district and block levels.
